Why you should use Open Source

I recently read this bog on why enterprises should use Open Source http://confusedofcalcutta.com/2007/04/12/10-reasons-for-enterprises-to-use-opensource/

I find theese reasons very true. When I speak to organisations using Open Source I find that they are much more in control of their IT solutions than organisations that use purely closed source. It seems that they rely much more on the advice of their suppliers and the manufacturer of their softeware.

I seldom see organisations using Open Source that are stuck with a solution that they are not happy about. When access to data is open, then the road to better solution is short.

Let's work together to apply pressure on all software manufaturers to open up their code and give us access to our own data!
